For taking part in Hucknall Harriers group runs
We’re a friendly community of runners, and while we aim to make our runs inclusive, enjoyable, and supportive, it’s important that everyone takes responsibility for their own safety and respects those around them.
Ensure you’re fit and healthy enough for the run you join.
If you have any relevant medical conditions, consider letting someone know (e.g. an emergency contact or someone in the group).
Carry any personal medication if needed (e.g. inhalers).
Wear high-vis or light-coloured clothing during low light or dark conditions.
Use a head torch when required.
Stay aware of your surroundings and traffic - it is highly recommended to wear bone conduction headphones.
Let someone know if you need to stop or leave the group mid-run.
Stick together when possible, and wait at regular points for everyone to regroup.
Respect other runners’ pace and space.
Be mindful of terrain, weather, and your ability.
Use crossings where appropriate, and stay on pavements or trails.
Obey the highway code and be courteous to the public.
Please make sure you’ve provided an emergency contact through our registration form.
If something goes wrong, we want to be able to help quickly.
Participation in Hucknall Harriers runs is entirely voluntary. By taking part, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own health, safety, and conduct.
